namesuppressed has updated their Softener plugin for AdobePhotoshop and compatible image programs. Softener gives digital photos the dreamylook of glamour photos by adding soft focus effects to any image.
Practical applications include smoothing skin in imperfect photos, and adding softfocus effects to digital wedding photos. Softener reduces the need to use speciallenses when taking photos - the same soft focus effects can be recreated digitally.
Softener includes a range of preset effects, from subtle glows and romantic softfocus effects, through to strong blurs and glossy magazine effects. Presets can beused as the basis for an effect and tweaked to get the desired result, or newsettings can be created from scratch. User created presets can be saved for lateruse.
Softener is used by all kinds of digital photographers, for everything fromweddings, baby photos & portraits, through to glamour photography and corporatephotos.
The latest update corrects issues with the preview display, and is a free upgradefor all registered Softener customers.
System Requirements
Softener runs on computers with Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP. At least 32MB of RAM isrequired. A 400 Mhz processor is recommended. Any Windows computer made in thelast 5 years should be able to run the software.
Softener also requires a Photoshop plugin compatible application to run. It workswith a range of programs, including Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint ShopPro, Corel Photopaint, Irfanview, Ulead Photoimpact and many others.
