SharePoint AD Self Service provides a web part that allows current login user to seeview and modify his/her own Active Directory information. The administratorYou can add this web part to a page, on which you want users to edit their Active Directory information, and configure it properly. After that, when a user can logs in and enters this page., and SharePoint AD Self Service web part will automatically detect current login user and domain, then retrieve his/her information from Active Directory and show them in the web part. If the properties in the textbox are editable, user can edit it, and click “Save” button to save his changes to Active Directory., and then a message about this operation will be shown.

SharePoint AD Self Service web part provides a flexible information accessibility management solution about information accessibility. Every property can be configured as editable, read only (user can view rather than edit) or invisible (show nothing about it) oin the web part tool pane.

With SharePoint AD Self Service as well asand SharePoint Password Change, administrators can work more efficiently save their time a lot by giving users proper permission to manage their own password and information.

Why Did We Build It?
The data of SharePoint users isare usually managed in Active Directory usually. It takes domain administrators a lot of time to input, check and trackenter the user information, check the user information and track information changes. To solve this problem, they need an Employee Self Service (ESS) tool which allows employees to change their own information such as address and contact details. In SharePoint we provide the AD Self Service Web Part is designed for the above problem, and it does work.
