The Application
When you open the editor you have a large screen where a visual representation of your sound file can be seen in the sine wave format. This is the worktable where you can perform all your operations like cut, copy, paste, mix, delete silence, reduce noise, and tons more to create your own professional looking audio project.
Around the screen are the buttons you need to perform the operations. On the right side there is a pane that contains the controls for all the effects that you can give to your audio. Arranged in a neat, collapsible list, you can find a comprehensive set of effects that includes:
- Filters like band pass, low pass, high pass, low shelf, high shelf, equalizer, FFT filter, FIR filter, notch filter, Peak EQ filter, click/pop reduction and noise reduction.
- Amplification and compressor.
- Effects like smooth fade in and fade out, smooth release, stretch or compress tempo, pitch shift, reverb, phasing, invert, reverse, delay, Bell curve, Flanger, Vibrato, and many more. You can choose between preset effects or create your own customized effects with visual and numerical representations of all the parameters to guide you. You can store the customized effects as presets for immediate retrieval.
To help you perform precise operations to a tenth of a second, there are zoom buttons alongside the playback and recording controls on the right pane. Conveniently placed on the top of the screen is the shortcuts pane that includes the most commonly used buttons so that you don’t need to go to the sub-menus often.
