Overview
If you want to create Flash movies for your website for it to stand out and deliver product pitches effectively, but you don’t have enough knowledge about Flash and programming, then turn to an application called Snosh.
Snosh is an easy-to-use tool that allows you to turn your video, audio and image files into Flash movies ready to use on the web, complete with player controls.

The Application
With Snosh you can create Flash 8 (SWF/FLV), Flash MX (SWF/FLV), Flash Vector (SWF), HTML, MP3, WAV and Windows Projector Executables.

Snosh allows a wide variety of video, audio and image formats to be used as inputs:
  • Video formats: MOV, QT, MP4, M4V, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VCD/SVCD, PAL/NTSC, WMV, 3GP, 3G2, AVI (including DivX, XviD, MS MPEG-4, Uncompressed, Cinepak, etc.), ASF (active streaming), FLV, DV, and of course vector graphic animations Flash 8 (SWF/FLV), Flash MX (SWF/FLV), Flash Vector (SWF), Flash 3+ (SWF), HTML and Windows Projector.
  • Audio formats: WAV, MP2, MP3, MPA, WMA
  • Image formats: GIF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, PSD, TIF, TGA
User interface
The user interface is incredibly simple, with 6 steps to turn your files into a Flash movie. At each step, you add the relevant files and specify the options for them.

In Step 1 you add your video files and specify export options like Quality, Dimensions, Start time, End time, etc.

In Step 2 you add your audio files and specify options like bit rate and sampling.

Step 3 is for the image overlay, in which you can add a watermark to the final video.

The next two steps define how your Flash movie will look like and behave.
Step 4 is for defining Start movie options (like automatic start or click to start, how long to wait before start, insert frame, and so on) and End movie options (like how many times to loop, etc.).

Step 5 is for defining Player Control options during playback (like play, pause, stop, forward, back, volume control, etc.) where you can preview whatever you set. This feature is quite beneficial if your output is a trailer, Google video or video blog. And finally at Step 6 you specify the format of the movie and the background.

There are several features that make Snosh a worthy product to buy. Snosh supports Batch Processing, i.e. it can process several input files to create a Flash movie at once. The cropping feature allows you to specify an area in the video for encoding. Unwanted data can be discharged outside this area. Snosh can also be used as an audio and video player that supports all the formats mentioned above.

There’s plenty of easy help available on how to use each feature. Online tutorials from Snosh make the job even easier. The various features like import, compression settings, custom audio settings, SWF events, player control, export, etc. are dealt with in fine detail. There is a ready code to embed your SWF into an HTML.

Final words
Snosh looks to be a simple, neat solution to a seemingly complex job. You can try out the product free of cost for 9 conversions. Once you purchase it, the makers provide priority technical support in case you need help with the functioning.
