Factors include aging, heredity, pregnancy and child birth, heavy lifting, poor posture, unhealthy diet, obesity, severe coughing, diarrhea, straining during bowel movements, infection, constipation, excessive rubbing or cleansing, frequent use of laxatives or enemas.
