Travel and exploration occurs in the traditional overhead view of RPGs, while the battles and dungeons are side-scrolling mazes, similar to Wanderers from Ys. Characters gain experience and levels, buy equipment, and use magic.

The game concerns the desert adventures of Sadler, the great hero whose revolt years before led to the downfall of a powerful empire. Recently, however, peace was broken in Sadler's home country, as the rival Luciel empire has been launching attacks on the Village of Dunes.

You're Sadler, a young nomad who is about to embark on the most important journey of his life. In game, your homeland is under attack, and youre the only warrior with enough strength and courage to protect your home and your people from the invasion. While the game is one large adventure, its actually broken into three different modes: RPG, Map Scrolling, and Combat. In the RPG mode, you'll interact with various characters you encounter, gathering information and items that will help you on your quest. In the Map Scrolling mode, youll explore the realm as you search for enemies and potential allies. And in the Combat mode, youll engage in hand-to-hand battles with all who dare confront you. The future of your homeland rests on your capable shoulders, should you succeed, unprecedented prosperity is sure to follow!
