LightBox Free Image Editor is a completely free, user-friendly image-enhancement editor written by an image-processing expert to make image editing easy and powerful. A simple but powerful editor, with a focus on professional-level image quality and ease-of-use -- controls work together with the image, so that the user can learn by experimenting. It's great for beginners, and has the power for advanced hobbyists, too. Jpeg, RAW, 48-bit tiff, and .bmp support. Features include advanced Auto Color Balance,Smart Fill-light, new Color Toner technology, easy Red-eye Removal with face-detection technology. With most core routines written in machine-level code, the action is fluid and real-time, performing in 16-bits per-channel. 48-bit RAW and 48-bit tiff support. Start up is very easy. With our user-friendly interface and help system that leads you through the process, the learning curve is very low and you can immediately get amazing results from your images. There is also extensive help available. LightBox Image Editor includes a free 30-day trial of LightBox Plus Image Editor (which you can opt-out of), which has many more features. LightBox is free, forever, though, with no strings attached or adware/spyware. LightBox has advanced red-eye removal that has face-detection to make removing red-eye easy. We also have a mode that guarantees red-eye removal. Our Color Balancing algorithms and new advanced easy-to-use Color Toner (an advanced on Tint and Temperature) are state-of-the-art, and commonly out-perform the high-end, very expensive editors.
