SuperStorm allows you to hide your confidential files and folders in a wide variety of media files such as pictures, audio, video, executable programs among many other file types. Your secret file will be physically wiped out and merged inside the media file. After the operation, your final picture, audio, video, or executable program will continue to display, sound, play, and function exactly like before.
SuperStorm preserves and restores all original file names and file dates. The program offers an intuitive user interface supporting drag and drop and an optional compact display mode. Moreover, you can run SuperStorm from a removable disk (e.g. USB, floppy) or a CD without any setup. In fact, SuperStorm doesn't require any installation. It can be used and removed instantly.
To enforce security, you can define a password between 8 and 10000 characters before hiding your secret files or you can use any file as your encryption key. Even without a password, SuperStorm will still encrypt and decrypt your secret files. In addition, you can set a password to restrict access to SuperStorm and if any security settings are tampered or damaged, the program will repair them automatically.
Furthermore, SuperStorm can be used to destroy any sensitive file on your computer. Files are physically overwritten so they cannot be recovered by any software or hardware. Version 1.5 introduces advanced multi-threading capabilities, dynamic cleaning of sensitive information in RAM and in disk caches, higher levels of reliability and security, and more.
The freeware edition of SuperStorm can hide any file up to 1 MB large in any media file without a password. However, the freeware edition can also be used to extract any file hidden using the professional edition (with or without a password). The professional edition has no limitation and it offers more features.
