Product Info

XML Menu is a state-of-the-art, client-side web menu builder that uses XML (Extensible Markup Language) to describe menu content and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to describe menu presentation (look and feel). XML Menu is powered by an AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) kernel.

A major feature of XML Menu is XML Menu Builder, an easy-to-use wizard that enables people with no web design experience to create versatile, powerful, and sophisticated web menus. Power users can still take advantage of the AJAX kernel while coding or modifying their XML/CSS by hand, using the editor of their choice.

XML Menu departs from traditional DHTML menus that require users to supply menu data for every single page of their website in the form of unordered list elements. Instead, XML Menu generates data that is kept in a standards-compliant, external XML file, making it both easy-to-modify and validate. Menu presentation information is kept in external CSS files. This fulfills the ultimate goal of web development purists, since XML Menu provides both full-standardization and full separation of content from presentation.

XML Menu provides full search engine support through the standardized XML Sitemap protocol.

XML Menu does not require Flash or any other plug-in. It is completely client-based, and does not require any server-side software. XML data is loaded via AJAX, which is native to all browsers in use today.

Please contact XML Menu Builder publisher, XmlMenu.com if you have questions or issues regarding this product.
